QUESO FRESCO SALVADORENO
OAXACA CHEESE

White, semi-hard cheese similar to unaged Monterey Jack but with a mozzarella-like string cheese texture.

To achieve that special texture, we carefully stretch the cheese into long strands, then roll it to form what resembles a ball of yarn.

The Oaxaca cheese is used grated and can be melted inside tortillas or used as topping for many Mexican dishes. It's also delicious inside empanadas, those stuffed pastries baked or fried in many countries of Latin America.
